Smith Road Extension Upgrade and Pathway

    This project reconstructed Smith Road and added a pathway from the intersection of North Smith Road to the eastern termination at McRoberts and Matanuska Peak Trailhead.
  • Benefits:
    Improvements to the road and the addition of a pathway benefited public safety and travel experience for both drivers and pedestrians.

    Construction is substantially complete.

    Estimated total cost: $2,340,000.
  • Schedule:
    Final completion is expected in spring of 2025.
