
Palmer-Fishhook Separated Pathway
Description:
This project would provide a pedestrian/bicycle facility along Palmer-Fishhook Road from Trunk Road north to Edgerton Parks Road.Benefits:
Pedestrian and bicycle traffic occurs on the dangerous narrow shoulders of Palmer-Fishhook Road to access recreation sites such as Hatcher Pass, the Matanuska Valley Moose Range, and Government Peak Recreation Area. This pathway would provide a protected location for non-motorized traffic. The proposed pathway would connect to the Trunk Road pathway, the proposed Tex-Al Road pathway, and the proposed Edgerton Parks Road pathway.Status:
Additional funding is being sought through the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities “Transportation Alternatives Program.”Cost:
