The Matanuska-Susitna Borough Planning Director will conduct a public hearing concerning the following application for an administrative permit on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. in the Borough Assembly Chambers located at 350 E. Dahlia Avenue in Palmer. This may be the only presentation of this item before the Planning Director and you are invited to attend.

An application for an Administrative Permit for earth materials extraction has been submitted by Tim Deland of Bayview Partners, LLC. The Administrative Permit would allow for the removal of approximately 107,000 cubic yards through 2022. According to the request, the result of the extraction will leave the property flat and usable for development. The site is located at 4786 S. Glenn Highway (Tax ID #17N01E23B003); within Township 17 North, Range 1 East, Section 23, Seward Meridian.

Written comments are due on or before May 3, 2021 and will be included in the Staff Report to the Planning and Land Use Director. Please be advised that comments received from the public after that date will not be included in the staff report, but will be provided to the Director at the meeting.
