The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (Borough) Land and Resource Management Division is providing this informational notice to the public about the probable extraction of gravel from the Borough-owned gravel pit at the intersection of Point MacKenzie Road and West Reddane Avenue in the Point MacKenzie area this Summer  2023.

Several material sale contracts were authorized for 2022 in the Alsop IMD where the purchasers indicated they may want to extend their contract into 2023.  Material sale contracts that exceed one year require public notice. Recent communication from one purchaser has triggered the requirement for this public notice.
