Northern Alliance Marijuana Cultivation Facility – Conditional Use Permit
An application for conditional use permit under MSB 17.60 – Conditional Uses, has been submitted for the operation of a marijuana cultivation facility.
Location: The marijuana cultivation facility is located along the north shore of Big Lake, Tax ID #17N04W25D005 (No Site Address); within Township 17 North, Range 4 West, Section 25, Seward Meridian.
Applicant: Casey Wilkins, of Northern Alliance, LLC
Public Hearing: The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing concerning this application for a conditional use permit on Monday, May 17, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in the Borough Assembly Chambers located at 350 E. Dahlia Avenue in Palmer. This may be the only presentation of this item before the Planning Commission and you are invited to attend.

The public is encouraged to check the Borough Website prior to attending the public hearing for any changes to the meeting schedule or method.
The public may provide verbal testimony in person at the meeting or telephonically by calling 1-855-290-3803. You will hear “Joining conference” when you are admitted to the meeting. You will be automatically muted and able to listen to the meeting. When the Chair announces audience participation or a public hearing you would like to speak to, press *3; you will hear, “Your hand has been raised.” When it is your turn to testify, you will hear, “Your line has been unmuted.” State your name for the record, spell your last name, and provide your testimony. You have 3 minutes to state your concerns & comments. This is not a question and answer session. This is only for stating your concerns and comments. In order to be eligible to file an appeal from a decision of the Planning Commission, a person must be designated an “interested party.” See MSB 15.39.010 for the definition of “interested party.” The procedures governing appeals to the Board of Adjustment and Appeals are contained in MSB 15.39.010-250, which is available on the Borough home page: www.matsugov.us, in the Borough Clerk’s office and at various libraries within the Borough.
Comments are due on or before April 16, 2021 and will be included in the Planning Commission packet for the Commissioner’s review and information. Please be advised that comments received from the public after that date will not be included in the staff report, but will be provided to the Commission at the meeting.
The Planning Commission members may submit questions to the Planning Commission Clerk concerning the matter or request for more information from the applicant at the time of introduction. All questions and requests submitted by the Commission shall be in writing and copies will be provided to the applicant and made available to all interested parties and the public upon request. Answers to questions and additional material requests will be addressed in the staff report for the public hearing. Planning Commission members may not receive or engage in ex-parte contact with the applicant, other interested parties in the application, or members of the public concerning the application or issues presented in the application.
