Proposal Description: The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (MSB) is requesting proposals from qualified professional engineers to design upgrades for the residential solid waste tipping wall (The Wall) at the Central Landfill near Palmer, Alaska. The scope of work for the project is to develop engineering plans, specifications and a cost estimate for the proposed upgrades. The improvements shall include extension of the existing soldier pile wall eastward to accommodate new disposal containers, reinforcement of the existing wall as needed, and the replacement and expansion of the existing lighting system in the canopy to an energy efficient LED system.
