You will be required to have a valid email address, and select a Username and Password to start an account.
If additional assistance is needed, an Online Employment Guide can be found by clicking on Help & Support at the bottom of the Applicant Login page, or by going to Online Employment Application Guide.

EMS: Serve in your community!
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) typically advertises job postings to hire EMS personnel a couple of times per year. Sign Up for Job Alerts on the job opportunities web page to be notified of future job postings with EMS.
We operate under an expanded scope of practice, so you may need additional training before you are eligible to work on an ambulance.
If you have questions about these requirements, please call the EMS training staff at 907-861-8000.
If you are approved for hire after an interview, we will send you information for our on-line criminal background check and driving record. These will be submitted for review as part of the application process. If you are interested in EMS, you will need to comply with state certification requirements. If you have previous criminal convictions, you may not be eligible for certification.
Fire and Technical Rescue: Give back to your community!
Are you interested in giving back to your community by becoming a firefighter? If there is not a job posting available for firefighters in the area where you live, please Sign Up for Job Alerts and check the "Fire/EMS" box and submit your contact information so you can be notified about future job openings for our Basic Firefighter Courses. You must live in the Fire Service Area (FSA) in which you are applying. You can verify this information by going to "My Property" and enter your physical address or property owner name. Near the bottom of the property information will show which FSA the property is in.
Central MAT-SU Fire Department and West Lakes Fire Department will accept applications for fire trainees when they do their Basic Firefighter course. Other fire service areas may accept applications anytime. Please call 861-8019 for more information.
Those offered on-call firefighter positions after the interview process, will be required to complete our on-line criminal background check and driving record check as part of the application process.
