A Community Council serves as a  nonprofit, voluntary, self-governing association of residents of an area. It is recognized by assembly resolution, but is not an arm of the Borough.

The Talkeetna Community Council meets on the first Monday of each month, except September and other months where a major public holiday falls on the first Monday, in which case the monthly meeting is held on the following day at 7 p.m. at the Talkeetna Public Library.
