MSB Transfer Station - Willow

For current disposal rates and fees please view the Services and Rates page.

The Willow Transfer Station is a facility utilized to consolidate the loads of several waste collection deliveries into a single, larger container for shipment to the final disposal site at the Central Landfill in Palmer.

This facility consists of four 40-cubic yard containers adjacent to a ramp for the collection of waste. There is a Connex for the collection of antifreeze, batteries, cooking oil, motor oil and latex paint (limited daily quantities). Scrap metal is not accepted at this facility, including, but not limited to: appliances, barbecues, bicycles, car parts, engine parts or blocks, lawn mowers, metal tanks, satellite dishes, washers and dryers, etc.

Due to the limitations of the transport containers, loads may not exceed five (5) cubic yards in volume and/or eight (8) feet in length. Loads that exceed these sizes must be brought to the Central Landfill in Palmer.

All loads must be properly secured in accordance with Borough code 8.05.070 when arriving at the facility or an unsecured load fee will be charged. Loads may be secured to the vehicle with rope, bungee cords, cargo nets, tarps, tie-downs, etc.

The staff working at the facility are upholding Borough Policy. They do not establish the rates or fees, nor do they establish the limitations of the facility. Abusive language will not be tolerated and disagreement may result in redirection to the Central Landfill in Palmer for disposal.

For questions or concerns please contact the Transfer Station Supervisor at 907-861-7602 or the Solid Waste Division Manager at 907-861-7606.
