The Matanuska-Susitna Borough (Borough) Land & Resource Management Division, at the request of the Borough Department of Emergency Services, proposes to classify a portion of Borough-owned property (tax account 18N01E31C013) as Reserved Use for a future public safety building. The new station will provide fire and ambulance services. The five-acre portion of the property to be classified is located in the north-east corner of the property. The proposal is to combine and relocate Maynard Public Safety Building, Station 5-2 and Cottonwood Public Safety Building, Station 6-5 into one new location.
