NOTICE OF SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS

Within the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Borough roads have the following weight restrictions:

CORE AREA extending to the Little Susitna River Bridge on the Parks Hwy and to the Chickaloon River Bridge on the Glenn Hwy:

Effective June 6, 12:01 AM
All roads at 100% legal axle load, no exceptions

(Core area restrictions may also be enforced on city maintained roads in the City of Houston, Palmer and Wasilla. Contact their Public Works Department for more information.)

NORTHERN AREAS beyond the Little Susitna River Bridge on the Parks Hwy and beyond the Chickaloon River Bridge on the Glenn Hwy:

Effective June 6 at 12:01 AM - 100% legal axle limit NO OVERLOADS

Axle loading limits are expressed as a percentage of allowable axle weight defined in 17 AAC 25.013. Weight restriction exemptions that apply to ADOT roads also apply to Borough roads. Additional emergency restrictions may be applied. Emergency restrictions will be advertised in the Frontiersman, posted on our website: http://www.matsugov.us or be posted on the specific roads.
