One lane of Welch Road will be closed while a two-lane detour road is constructed to shift traffic away from the edge of the road near the Little Su River. The two-lane detour will shift Welch Way approximately 50 feet to the south at the intersection of Welch Way/Welch Road and En Dove Street. The detour will be approximately 800 feet long extending west from St Herman Street. The contractor will be placing fill in areas to regrade the intersection and build a temporary road that allows community access. Flaggers will be onsite to manage traffic through the one-lane closure. The closure is anticipated to be in effect from August 27th through September 20, 2024.
